All of us possess creativity. As children we use and delight In Search Of Bigfoot our creativity. One of the casualties of adulthood is neglecting our creativity. Lives become busy establishing careers, raising children, dealing with the demands of daily life. The Mothman is that our natural creativity lies dormant.
There are ways of recapturing ones creativity and joy in living. We all need a managed hosting of usefulness and purpose. A sense of leading lives that give us meaning. That little voice nudges us to start tapping into our dormant part and bring it forth. By relearning to tap into your creativity you can break free from the predictable and add a new dimension to your life.
When I see my 93 year old mother she is usually crocheting, At age 86 she rediscovered the joy of crocheting afghans. She now makes afghans for the ever increasing number of great grand children. She will say that crocheting makes her feel useful. Although her memory is failing the sense of usefulness and creativity is ever present.
How can you rediscover your creativity? You can go for a walk and open your eyes and ears to all that surrounds you. Look at the houses-what style are they, do they have gardens? Is the wind blowing? What else do you see? You are already opening yourself up to experiencing newness in your life. You have to cultivate your senses. Most of us have busy demanding lives and it is easy to stop seeing what is around us. How about taking a different walK? Go down a street you normally don't travel. What do you see?

1. Experience your surroundings

b) pay attention to what gives you a sense of wonder and excitement

2. Create energy for yourself
a) eat healthy nutritious food
b) value your body - exercise
c) develop a positive attitude
3. Live in the present
a) create a new mindset
b) not the past or the future but now
c) accept yourself as being perfect in the present
4. Tap into your interests
a) what did you enjoy as a child and as a teenager
b) are there things you have wanted to try - a new recipe, gardening etc.
c) your creativity will burst forth from the inside - when you get an idea take action
5. Discover what you enjoy doing
a) try different things til you tap into what gives you pleasure
b) there will be no boredom when you enjoy what you are doing
c.) by taking action you will rediscover your creative side.
Creativity is a human need. We tend to think that creativity belongs only to artists, musicians, writers, athletes, inventors, chefs etc. These people we admire for their special gifts. We all have our own gifts. By tapping into our creativity we enrich our lives.
